Issa Sow’s exhibition is dedicated to women with a specific focus on their importance in positions of power. Issa underlines that “in my own life experience I have never seen peace in the world. On the contrary, the horror continues “.
“Eloge des femmes” aims to demonstrate that the innate aspects that make women different to men are essential in creating and maintaining harmony in the world “As women bear children and give life to them, they value life at a different level and would therefore have a different and less violent approach to conflicts . If you look at what is going on in the world women are often treated very badly. I have heard and read that in some civilizations that baby girls are killed by their fathers as they prefer to have a son…but those fathers themselves only exist thanks to a woman…their mother. Hundreds of thousands of women are victims to violence every day”
“We need to promote and support diversity in business, politics and our communities” states Issa as he explains that women are often already in leadership positions within their own families and each family represents a micro world.“Don’t be afraid of women, they won’t hurt you…women are our mothers:J. Women should be part of any important decision in the hope that it will help us to become “real” men and to achieve world peace….quickly before it’s too late”
